Robot Performance Analysis
Our robot measurement and performance analysis enables us to set or recover the tool center point (x,y,z and orientation), assist with a fast recovery after a robot crash (re-mastering), and assist with the installation of a robot system onto a production site. Our solutions use a laser tracker that works with all makes and models of robots to determine the robot’s performance ability e.g., accuracy, repeatability, velocity, acceleration, cornering characteristics, settling time and drift of the robot.
The laser tracker provides accurate measurements of the tool center point (TCP) for analysis of both the static and dynamic performance of the robots. Our engineers create a geometry error database recording the determined deviations from nominal (position and/or orientation) of the kinematic chain with respect to the measured point. This error database combined with real time measurement of the positions of the robot’s TCP, is provided to the client for compensation of robot geometry errors.
