A contact/non-contact measurement device with the FARO Laser Line Probe – measure prismatic features with the FaroArm’s hard probe (contact) then laser scan (non-contact) sections needing larger volumes of data (>19000 points per-second) to an accuracy +0.005 inch. Portable, non-contact 3-D measurement system digitally documenting the location of an object’s outer surface detailing as-built or as-is conditions.

Accuracy up to +2mm

With a field-of-view of 360° horizontally and 320° vertically measuring objects up to 395 feet (120 m) with a scan rate of 976000 points per second.

Common Applications:
Construction (including road, bridge, commercial and residential buildings, rail, tunnel, rail) involving generating 2D CAD elevations, section profiles, 3D CAD models and building information models. Producing navigation models for construction planning and tie-in identification.

Reverse Engineering that includes constructing models for FEA Analysis and objects with complex geometries and/or large mass. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) covering construction of as-built models for plant maintenance, operations, and training.
